"for you are wasting you time with me" (7)
This conflict is man vs. man. Mr. Darcy stated this, after Mr. Bingley tried to convince him to dance with Elizabeth. Mr. Darcy just wants to say that he has no interest in Elizabeth whatsoever. He might as well just say, that no matter what you won't convince me to dance with her. I find this to be funny; here Darcy is saying he has no interest in Elizabeth, and then the next thing you know she is his main focus.

Did you see just how fast that transition from "I don't like her because she is not pretty" to "I love her, she is the most beautiful thing in the world!" was. I thought it would take some time but I was quite wrong. Anyways I think you explained this quote very well and gave your own opinion about it. Just be careful with spelling. Other than that, you explained it beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI dont like how they both judge eachother so quickly! They didnt even think about it! Especially Darcy when just refused to dance with Elizabeth because she didn't tempt him enough to want to. I think that's kind of what made Elizabeth's assumption of him being arrogant.
