"for you are wasting you time with me" (7)
This conflict is man vs. man. Mr. Darcy stated this, after Mr. Bingley tried to convince him to dance with Elizabeth. Mr. Darcy just wants to say that he has no interest in Elizabeth whatsoever. He might as well just say, that no matter what you won't convince me to dance with her. I find this to be funny; here Darcy is saying he has no interest in Elizabeth, and then the next thing you know she is his main focus.

Historical Content- Marrying Into Wealth
Throughout this book the idea of marrying a wealthy man is critical. Mrs. Bennet is always tell her daughters to take any opportunity, they get, to marry a rich man. The book from the very beginning starts with this idea in mind. This was the very purpose of a woman. Wed into wealth an give birth to heirs, to inherit this wealth.

Father and Daughter Relationship
Mr. Bennet and Lizzy (Elizabeth) have a close relationship. The significance about this is, in total Mr. Bennet has five girls. But out of all of his children he favors Elizabeth above them all. The strength of this relationship, later on, prevents Elizabeth from accepting a proposal. Her father states that if she accepts he will never speak to her again. Because of this she denies the offer in order to maintain their relationship.

Literary Element- Charater
"She was a woman of mean understanding, little information, and uncertain temper." (3)
A charater is a person within a story or tale. This quote gives a pretty good discription of the character, Mrs. Bennet. The narrator stated this after Mr. and Mrs. Bennet finished their conversation about going to meet, the new wealthy man in town, Mr. Bingely. The purpose of this qoute is to introduce Mrs. Bennet and provide a outline of her personality. This just show that Mrs. Bennet has an average understanding, she doesn't really know much, and she has a random temper. To me Mrs. Bennet is the perfect shrew :), with this uncertain temper of hers I wonder how Mr. Bennet can stand her.
