Trial Day (Ch 8)

Finally, after waiting for what seemed to be an eternity, the trial of Justine Moritz was about to commence. I went with the rest of my family to the courthouse, while suffering throughout this so called justice. I created the creature, i was to blame! But how could a person who wasn't even present at the time of the murder, suddenly claim to be guilty? So all i could do was sit, looking calm on the outside but about to explode on the inside. I felt at fault, here an innocent woman was being accused for something she did not do. I took a glance at Justine, she seemed calm and full of cofendence, but once she saw my family it seemed as though tears were about to flow.

The trial was about to begin. Many witnesses claim that she was not present at night but appeared in the morning. Justine clarified this act by stating that she had been looking for William after hearing of his dissapearance. Next a picture around Williams neck was found to be in Justine's possesion. Elizabeth comfermed that this was on Williams person. Justine could only answer that it must have been planted on her. The time came for people to speak on Justine's behaf. Elizabeth stood, since no others did, she stated that Justine had no reason to kill William. Even after all of this Justine was found to be guilty. WHY!?! She did no wrong, and yet had to take the blame.

Elizabeth and i went to visit and a shocking truth came to our ears. Justine lied about being guilty, in hopes of being release without punishment. I couldn't take it,i would take the punishment a thousand time for this poor soul to be spared. But it was of no use, she had been condemed to death. Once we said our last word to eachother, we disembarked. Justine was killed, and a funeral was held. The thoughts of these deaths being on my head, for my need of wanting to create life, down-casted my soul.
